New Firmware, New Hardware
For your P44 devices, the firmware update 2.8.2 is now ready to install - and new, more powerful hardware will be available shortly.
As already announced in the newsletter from the end of 2025 — there will be a lot of new things in 2026!
Firmware 2.8.2 now available for all devices with many new features: Wiser-by-Feller integration, extended Matter support for Digital Strom with "dS485", new EnOcean profiles, p44script improvements, and much more — for details, see the release notes. All P44 devices can install the new firmware, with the exception of the first P44-DSB-DEH model, which is now over 10 years old.
P44-GW-MW: A completely new gateway for Wiser-by-Feller and Matter with OLED display for commissioning directly on the device with just a few button presses. More information can be found in the product flyer. Without complicated configuration, end users can use it to connect a Wiser-by-Feller installation via Matter to one or more smart home systems of their choice — and just as easily disconnect it again, for example when tenants change.
P44-GW-MW with OLED display for easy setup
The P44-GW-MW will soon be available exclusively from Otto Fischer and via the plan44 online shop.
New P44-DSB device generation — smaller, more powerful. Based on the new Omega4 system-on-a-module, the new devices are faster and have significantly more memory. This provides room both for Matter bridging of a large number of devices and for future new functions. These are the new devices:
- P44-DSB-D v2 for DALI to Digital Strom — replaces the P44-DSB-D and offers the same functions in a slightly smaller enclosure. Thanks to USB-C power supply, the device can also be powered via real PoE using current PoE USB-C adapters. Passive PPoE is no longer supported.
- P44-DSB-DEH2 v3 for DALI+EnOcean to Digital Strom — replaces the P44-DSB-DEH2.
- P44-LC-DE v2 standalone DALI/EnOcean/Matter/Wiser controller — replaces the P44-LC-DE.
P44-DSB-D v2 with size comparison to previous v1 model
The new P44-DSB models are expected to be available towards the end of June in the plan44 online shop and through the existing channels.
